How to put my lens hood over my UV filter?
I have a canon eos rebel t2i with a canon 18-135mm zoom lens on the camera. It has a 67mm uv filter over the lens and also a opteka lens hood over the filter except some of the edges of the picture are black because it picks up parts of the lens filter.
It would be very unusual for a single filter to cause vignetting. I would guess the Opteka lens hood is the wrong spec for the lens.
You need to get a lens hood designed for the lens - Canon are expensive but others make copies.

Loose the UV filter. Modern digital cameras are not affected by UV light. Unless you are in a sand storm or being splashed by salt water the lens hood is all the protection you need.

I also keep a UV filter over my lens to protect it. The lens hood is probably designed for a narrower lens which would explain why you are getting some vignetting. Get the Canon 18-135mm lens hood.
