Survival Guy said if he could have one gun, it would be Blackhawk .44 with scope. Huh?

I like to read survival websites. OK, I'm wierd.

Anyway this guy said if he could only have ONE gun, it would be a:

1) Ruger Super Blackhawk

2) .

That's not as bad an idea as you seem to think. What one gun did most of America's early, 'Mountain Men' carry with them? (Hint: A single-shot 54 caliber .....

In the hands of a GOOD shot, what's more accurate: .44 Magnum Revolver with scope, or .30-30 with open sights?

If I had someone who was a really good shot:

Would they shoot better at 100 yards with

1) A .30-30 Winchester with the Factory no Windage Sights, or

2) A .

When you add a bench and sandbags to the equation the 4X scope is gonna win most every time, with the steadiness of a bench and bags and the ability to see much better it's a no brainer.Put the optics on the .30-30 and you'd reverse the results again.

Marcus
Go with the rifle. Handguns are harder to steady, even in the hands of a professional. You have to remember that while most zombies are slow, some have a tendency to pick up speed as they move. You need the extra accuracy and oiler to compensate.

whoah mann look out
i would take that shot with the .

ERIC
Most people find long guns easier to shoot than handguns, regardless of sights.

Reb
Depends, What they train with. If your a crack shot with a .30-30 and can shoot two inch grips all day at fifty yards with it but your .44 mag group at 15 yards looks like some one shot a buck shot as fast as they could your gonna pick the .30-30 rifle.

kb5ypn
For long range shooting and that is where it counts the .30-30 will be more accurate. This is assuming the barrel and crown are of equal quality on both guns.
