Panasonic Debuts Micro Four Thirds GX1 and Dual Sensor 3D1

08.11.11
At a debut price of $500 and with dual lenses and sensors, the Panasonic 3D1 offers two cameras for, well, the price of two. The real power of the dual lens and sensor combination, however, is the camera’s ability to simultaneously record video and stills at different angles of view. For pure speed the 3D1 is also no slouch either, as its Venus engine is capable of processing shots at up to eight frames per second form the dual sensors, with dual still and video shooting options available. With a dedicated 2D/3D switch on the back of the camera, it’s a simple matter for users to quickly change between traditional 2D capture and 3D stereo photography. But the slim camera is capable of shooting 2D and 3D stills, as well as 1080/60i HD video and stills simultaneously. With each lens operating independently, users can zoom in to take a photo will staying wide to capture video.

Thinking about getting a Canon T3i [600D] -- should I wait a bit first, to see the Nikon D5100?

Don't need the best specs or features in any single area, just want a camera that can do a very good job for all but the most specialized/demanding needs. ...

The 60D body may be more durable. Haven't compared full specs to know if 60D has metal alloy in the body.

RAY
hold on for few weeks if you can
nikon d5000 is a great camera .

Is Olympus Pen E-P3 worthy waiting compared to Panasonic G3 and Sony NEX-C3?

I want to buy a new mirrorless camera in June. I learn that Olympus will release new Olympus Pen E-P3 in late June, and I love the Olympus E-PL2. So I wanna know which is better among Olympus Pen E-P3, Panasonic G3 and Sony NEX-C3?

(1) Panasonic G3 should be the smallest EVIL camera. In the sensor testing taken in DxOmark website, although the Panasonic G3 lost to Panasonic GH2, the Panasonic G3 is indeed a high cost effective camera for its imaging quality and budget price.

I'd get the Panasonic G3. The Olyppus e-pl2 is great, but the e-p3 (if it would be released) might not have a flash and viewfinder (you can buy an external one. If size is a problem, get the Panasonic GF2.

Yes it is indeed. Olympus blows any other camera brand in mirror-less cameras. Problem with Sony NEX is the poor quality lenses, I'll buy Sony NEX only if they ship it with Zeiss lenses. Panasonic is better than Sony but Olympus PEN has better ISO performance.
