Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX5: Function enhancing firmware update released

The high-end Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 digital camera has been blessed with a new function enhancing firmware update that’s free for owners to download and install on their cameras. With the new update the LX5 is bumped up to firmware Ver 2. The upper limit of the shutter speed in Manual Exposure Mode has been raised. The AF/AE Lock operated by half-pressing the shutter button has been improved. The position and size of the AF area you have set are now stored. [ACTIVE MODE] has been added to the [MOTION PICTURE] menu. [HIGH ISO NR] has been added to the [REC] menu. When [MF] is set, you can make fine adjustments to the focus using a simpler operation than before. (Max 250 seconds approximately) [MINIATURE EFFECT] has been added to My Colour Mode. 0 release Panasonic has shoehorned in ten new updates for their luxury point-and-shoot.

A High ISO NR (Noise Reduction) mode is newly added to offer noise reduction specifically to the images shot at high ISO 1600/3200 sensitivity. The Popular Miniature Effect photo mode is added to the My Colour mode, which can be applied to both photo For functional upgrades, Active mode is added in video recording for more effective countermeasure against blur. Not the absolute best, if your definition cameras of professional medium format cameras that include cost more than a new car. However, there is still one of the best cameras as far as point-and-shoots are affected.

I'm not sure, but my next camera, the LX5 I like the Nikon 700 and I think it's the thing with the nikon that ke worry, the pop-up flash. I've tried the Canon G12 and not get on with it. I am disabled and have limited finger movement.

@ I've been on Lightroom 2 for ages. But my new camera (Panasonic Lumix LX-5) shoots a format it can't import. Hence the quandary.
